UNDERSTANDING THE NEW BENGAL COLORS
RED, TORBIE, & BLAZE
Red Bengal Kittens
Red bengals are beautiful. They have red rosettes, are beautifully glittered, and extremely soft to the touch. They are NOT cinnamon Bengals. Cinnamon is a completely different Bengal color and unlike the cinnamon Bengals, the Red Bengals will hold their beautiful deep red color as adults and will not turn brownish (like the color of cinnamon the spice). Currently I only have male red Bengal kittens available, but I will have female red Bengal kittens in 2020. They are actually more difficult to produce and require my program to develop more since I do not want to do any inbreeding.
Torbie Bengal Kittens
Torbie Bengals (sometimes called tortie) are absolutely stunning. A Bengal with a torbie pattern has red blotches on their coat that are not organized by the current pattern. This means that a single rosette could be half black and half red, half brown and half red, etc... This is especially beautiful on a silver coat. The silver and black pattern is splashed with red. The brown torbies are extremely adorable, adding bright orange color splashed randomly through the current pattern. There is no way to predict how much red will occur on the coat or where the red will land. I am currently producing Torbie Bengal kittens but they are only available in female kittens. Pic below to the left is a Silver Spotted Torbie (notice the red in her pattern?). Pic to the right is a Brown Spotted Torbie. (lots of red patches in this kittens coat). I will add more pictures as I have kittens born and time goes on.
Blaze Bengal Kittens
Blaze Bengals are exceptionally beautiful. They have a red rosettes on a creamy/white background. This is a color you have to see on person to truly appreciate how stunning they are. Since this color is not currently being produced in the Bengal breed, I have given this color the name "Blaze". I am currently producing Blaze colored Bengal kittens but only males are available for purchase at this time. While developing this color, I am learning that there is a difference in the degree of red showing up on these babies. I will continue to work to keep the kittens with the highest amount of contrast. If you have one of these kittens from me, please send updated pictures as they grow.
